EPA troubles ahead, even without Pruitt

Scott Pruitt had a contentious relationship with the Environmental Protection Agency long before he became its administrator in February 2017. After he was named to that post, he acted like a gluttonous pig who gorged himself through insatiable greed.

But his departure is no cause to rejoice. Mr. Pruitt is gone but, unfortunately, his mission is not forgotten.

Many fear that his successor, Andrew Wheeler, will continue to dismantle the EPA, brick by brick, only this time without the fat that weighed down Mr. Pruitt and led to his forced resignation.

The EPA is an agency that served the public well but, sadly, is doomed under destructive leadership.
