Pittsburgh police will set up sobriety checkpoints and conduct roving DUI patrols this weekend in an effort to remove impaired drivers from area highways.
They will be in the South Hills and the West End from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.
The goal of the city's DUI task force is to decrease the number of DUI-related incidents and make the highways safer. The checkpoints and patrols are a combined effort of the city and PennDOT’s Western Alliance/Team DUI Program.
