Malone out

Dec. 19, 2007

Penguins winger Ryan Malone will miss at least two games with a leg infection according to Dave Molinari.

The Penguins also recalled forward Jeff Taffe from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL and sent forward Connor James to the AHL affiliate.

Given how anemic the offense was in Manhattan Tuesday, this could present Michel Therrien a chance to really shake up the lines. We wouldn't mind seeing Petr Sykora on Sidney Crosby's wing given that Sykora has only scored two goals in his last 13 games.
