Penguins set Consol Energy Center open house

The public can get a gander at Consol Energy Center when the Penguins hold an open house from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 28.

Tickets, $5, go on sale at 10 a.m. Thursday at ticketmaster.com, by calling 1-800-745-3000, or at the Consol Energy Center box office. Proceeds benefit the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation, which supports youth initiatives and youth hockey.

Only the public areas of the arena will be accessible for the open house.
