Ars Technica has an interesting update on the current state of malware.

It comes as no surprise that phishing attacks have surpassed viruses as the leading type of malware. People are gullible, after all.

The article also says that malware is becoming more sophisticated and increasingly bankrolled by big criminal enterprises. Shades of Neuromancer.
