Suspect ordered to trial in bar shooting that killed 2

A man accused of fatally shooting two people and wounding a third outside a Washington, Pa., bar has been ordered to stand trial.

Police say 26-year-old Phillip Whitlock Jr., of Washington, opened fire on 23-year-old Troy Saunders outside the Cabaret West bar in Washington on Feb. 16. Prosecutors say Mr. Whitlock and Mr. Saunders had an altercation several days earlier.

A second victim, 24-year-old Marquis Taylor, died at a hospital Friday; he'd been shot at least six times. Twenty-three-year-old Lindsay Jolly was treated and released.

Mr. Whitlock was held for trial on homicide and attempted homicide charges at a preliminary hearing yesterday.

As he left court, Mr. Whitlock said he's not "a cold-blooded animal."
