Basketball: Pitt defeated Vermont, 80-51

Pitt defeated Vermont, 80-51, tonight at the Petersen Events Center.

Sam Young led the Panthers with 28 points and nine rebounds. DeJuan Blair had his sixth double-double with 13 points and 16 rebounds. And Tyrell Biggs added 10 points and seven rebounds.

The No. 3 Panthers (9-0) are off during finals week and don't return to action until Saturday against UMBC, another team from the America East Conference.
