Task force nabs two fugitives

The U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested two wanted men in separate incidents today.

Toriano Demetrius Cameron, 36, of South Carolina was arrested without incident in the 4800 block of Kincaid Street in Garfield about 2 p.m. Mr. Cameron was wanted on a warrant issued by the city of Pittsburgh on Aug. 21 stemming from an incident in January 2002, charging him with rape and corruption of a minor.

Earlier in the day, task force members arrested a Hill District man on three outstanding warrants.

Damar Brown, 20, was wanted by the city of Pittsburgh on two warrants for robbery and one for unlawful restraint and simple assault. The task force received information this morning that Mr. Brown was in the 2100 block of Elmore Square in the Hill.

When officers were trying to gain entry, another task force member saw Mr. Brown trying to leave out of a second-story window. When he saw the officer, Mr. Brown went back inside. He was found hiding under a bed.

Both men were taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
