Body of missing Mercer man found in woods

A search party discovered the body of a Mercer County man reported missing more than a month in a wooded area yesterday, state police said.

Howard S. Urquhart, 60, was found dead at around 11 a.m. near Bandy Road in Greene, Mercer County, a day after police received a tip that his body was located there.

Mr. Urquhart had been missing since Jan. 15 and had lived on Hadley Road, also state Route 358, outside Greenville, Mercer County.

The Erie County medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy on the body. State police are investigating Mr. Urquhart's death.
