NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The Office of Facilities Management of the University of Pittsburgh is seeking qualified Contractors to bid on selected packages of work for Chevron Science Center – Renovations Phase 2 – 11th & 12th Floor Labs, DGS Project No. 1103-74. The Project includes the interior renovation of the 11th & 12th Floors existing chemistry laboratories to provide a state of the art, comfortable, flexible and energy efficient research laboratory floors, which meets current building codes, life safety requirements and the University’s research programs both current and future teaching needs.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to abatement, gut demolition of 11th & 12th floor existing lab spaces, new infrastructure, replacement of existing floor mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, supporting the new laboratory program renovation requirements. The Work will be done in (2) two Phases with the 11th Floor being renovated first followed by the 12th Floor. The scope of the packages of work and the estimated values are as follows: General Construction (including abatement): $6,394,000 - $8,870,000; HVAC Construction: $2,100,000 - $2,700,000; Plumbing & Fire Protection Construction: $1,275,000 - $1,524,000; Electrical Construction: $750,000 - $820,000.

Sealed Proposals will be received by South Park Township, 2675 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA, 15159 Allegheny County, Pennsylvania for:
Demolition of Structures at Library Road and Brownsville Road
The scope of the work consists of the demolition of Six Structures located at the intersection of Brownsville Road and Library Road including disposal of the structures and their contents, removal of foundations and footers, completion of bulk excavation and grading and installation of storm sewer. Upon completion of the demolition the sites shall be restored per the construction and restoration plan.
The demolition consists of removal of all above ground structures located on the properties and their respective foundations. All biodegradable and combustible materials generated from the demolition shall be removed and disposed of at an approved offsite facility. In addition, the project shall include the capping and abandonment of all existing utility overhead and buried service lines.
All Proposals must be in the hands of Karen Fosbaugh, Township Manager to be delivered at the Township Administration Building, 2675 Brownsville Road, South Park, PA, 15129 before 10:00 A.M., prevailing time, Wednesday August 30, 2023, and the same will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on Thursday August 10, 2023 at 10:00 A.M. at the site. The reference address for the project is 6566 Library Road, South Park, PA 15129. Failure to attend will disqualify the contractor from submitting a bid. No bidding documents will be available after Friday, August 18, 2023. There are not any exceptions.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS
The University of Pittsburgh is seeking qualified Contractors to bid on selected packages of work for the Renovation of Crawford Hall, Phase 2; DGS Project Number 1103-77.
Crawford Hall is an existing 6-story building constructed in 1969 of approximately 87,235 GSF, including predominantly research laboratories with some office, teaching lab and classroom space. It is part of the four-building life sciences complex operated by the School of Arts and Sciences. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: new infrastructure, which includes replacement of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and elevator systems; expand building footprint through construction of a new south elevation approximately 5’-0” from the face of the existing building to enclose new mechanical supply and return shafts as part of infrastructure replacement; new spaces to include up-to-date flexible laboratories to meet all current ABSL-2 standards, as well as new offices and teaching lab classrooms; fully renovate and expand the extents of the existing aquatics only vivarium on the basement floor; improve the performance of the exterior envelope; achieve LEED Certification and meet or exceed established EUI/WUI targets.
The scope of the packages of work and the estimated values are as follows: General Construction (including abatement): $22,500,000 - $25,000,000; HVAC Construction: $17,700,000 - $18,200,000; Plumbing & Fire Protection Construction: $3,500,000 - $4,000,000; Electrical Construction: $5,500,000 - $6,000,000.
Contractors who wish to be considered for bidding the project must submit a Predetermination of Responsibility Form (PDR) for review and pre-qualification. ORACLE / PEOPLESOFT TRAINING SERVICES
PRT is requesting proposals from qualified firms that are an Oracle University Authorized Education Provider to provide Oracle/PeopleSoft Training Services for technical and end user staff to support current software, software upgrades, and personnel changes. The required services include, but are not limited to: (1) establishment of training objectives and measurements of effectiveness; (2) development of training courses and associated materials; and (3) conducting courses. The required services will be issued on an as needed basis as approved to proceed by PRT.
The Agreement will be for a 3-year period with the option to extend the term of the Agreement up to 2 additional years at the sole discretion of PRT.

Civil Design Solutions

In accordance with Pennsylvania Code 25, Section 271.141, Westmoreland Sanitary Landfill, LLC. – Sanitary Landfill herein provides public notification of the submittal of a Permit Renewal Application on July 26, 2023 to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP), Southwest Regional Office located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This application does not propose any design, operational or closure changes to the facility. The permit renewal is a procedural requirement whereby the permit documents for the facility are renewed on a periodic basis. Copies of the application are available for review during normal business hours at the PADEP’s office, 400 Waterfront Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15222-4745. Fees for copying may be charged by the PADEP. Copies of the application will be submitted to the East Huntingdon Township and Westmoreland County offices by the PADEP. 1. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission filed a Declaration of Taking on July 17, 2023 in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania at No. GD 23-008638. This was filed pursuant to the requirements of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Eminent Domain Code as amended by 2006, May 4, P.L. 112, No. 34, §1, effective in 120 days [Sept. 1, 2006].
2. The Condemnor is the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, an instrumentality of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Its principal office is located at Exit 247 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike System in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania. Its post office address is P. O. Box 67676, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, 17106-7676.
3. The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is authorized and empowered by Section 6 of Act of May 21, 1937, P.L. 774, No. 211, as amended, to acquire by condemnation any lands, rights, easements, franchises and other property deemed necessary or convenient for the construction or efficient operation of the Turnpike.
4. This Declaration of Taking was authorized by a Resolution adopted June 6, 2023, by said Condemnor. The record of the proceedings regarding this adoption may be examined at the Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Central Office, located at Exit 247 of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.
5. The purpose of the condemnation is to acquire property interests for the construction of the Mon-Fayette Expressway, Route 51 and I-376 Project, and its requirements.
6. The property is situated in Dravosburg Borough, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania and consists of a) 0.811 acre in fee, as required right-of-way for limited access;
b) 1.037 acres in fee, as required legal right-of-way; c) 0.025 acre, as required private access easement, a total take. A plan of the property condemned sufficient for its identification has been filed with the Declaration, which was filed with the Department of Court Records of Allegheny County and with the Department of Real Estate of Allegheny County in accordance with Section 304 of the Eminent Domain Code of 2006.
7. The nature of the title hereby acquired is (i) 0.811 acre in fee simple, as required right-of-way of limited access; (ii) 1.037 acre in fee simple, as required right-of-way; and
(iii) 0.025 acre in easement, as required private access easement for the benefit of property currently identified as Allegheny County Tax Parcel Number 309-A-220, now or formerly of Todd Nasci, his successors in interest and assigns, which private access easement shall run in perpetuity with the land. In the event there are recoverable subsurface minerals (including gas and oil) within the areas hereby condemned, the subsurface mineral rights (including rights to gas and oil) in those areas are hereby excepted and reserved from this condemnation; provided, however, that the right of lateral and subjacent support of the surface hereby condemned and any improvements now or hereafter erected thereon are included within the scope of this condemnation. Access for the removal of subsurface minerals (including gas and oil) must be obtained from beyond the land hereby condemned, unless expressly permitted by the Commission.
8. A plan showing the property may be inspected at the office of at Wratcher Law, LLC, One Monroeville Center, 3824 Northern Pike, Suite 925, Monroeville, PA 15146.
9. The Condemnor filed with the Declaration of Taking its Open-End Bond without surety pursuant to Section 303(a) of the Eminent Domain Code of 2006. Just compensation is made or secured by the filing of said Bond.
10. If you wish to challenge the power or right of the Condemnor, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, to appropriate the condemned property, the sufficiency of the security, the procedure followed by the Condemnor, or the Declaration of Taking, you are required to file preliminary objections with the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, within thirty (30) days after publication of this Notice.

Notice is hereby given that the Town of McCandless Zoning Hearing Board will hold a meeting to conduct its regular business Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at 7:30 PM.
