Greensburg -- The Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra will perform Beethoven's "Pastorale" at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Palace Theatre, 21 W. Otterman St. Also on the repertoire will be Walker's "Lyric for Strings," Lalo's "Symphony Espagnole" and Beethoven's Symphony No. 6. Tickets: $10-39, 724-837-1850.


Monroeville -- The adult department of Monroeville Public Library, 4000 Gateway Campus Blvd., will sponsor the following programs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Information: 412-372-0500.

Wilkinsburg -- The police department will hold a public safety forum from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. next Thursday in the Wilkinsburg Public Library's Eastridge branch, 1900 Graham Blvd. Information: 412-244-2900.


Greensburg -- The Office of Public Art of the Greater Pittsburgh Art Council will hold an information session from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Westmoreland Museum of American Art, 221 N. Main St., for artists interested in applying for the museum's Bridging the Gap project. Information: 412-391-2060, ext. 233.


Oakmont -- Oakmont United Methodist Church, 419 Maryland Ave., will hold a dinner theater performance of "A Treacherous Night in the Midnight Train" at 6 p.m. Feb. 8, noon Feb. 9 and 5 p.m. Feb. 10. The cost is $18 for the Friday and Sunday performances and $13 for Saturday. The deadline is Tuesday. Reservations: 412-828-9499.


Monroeville -- Monroeville Aglow Lighthouse will meet at 10 a.m. next Thursday at the Golden Corral, 3951 William Penn Highway. Speaker will be the Rev. Hempfield -- The adult singles ministry of Word of Life Ministries, 4497 West Newton Road, will hold a Valentine's luncheon at 2 p.m. Feb. 10 in the church dining hall. Speaker will be Shelli Prindle of Hope & Passion Ministries; her message will be "God's Love: Greater Than You Think and Everything You Need." The cost is $12, and reservations are due by Friday.
