![]() Radio Notes: Local stations to air live concerts

WQED-FM (89.3) will broadcast live from the Downtown First Night 2004 festivities tonight. Ted Sohier will host from the station's new Carolyn M. Byham Studio in Theater Square, starting with a live broadcast of the River City Brass Band concert at 7 p.m.
WYEP reviews '03
WYEP-FM's (91.3) Rosemary Welsch will host the annual "WYEP 2003 Year in Review Countdown Show." The program features the station's top 50 albums for the year, along with interviews and studio performances with some of the artists.
It airs tonight from 7 to midnight, and repeats tomorrow from 1 to 6 a.m., 1 to 6 p.m., and Jan. 9 from 1 to 6 p.m.

WDUQ toasts jazz
WDUQ-FM (90.5) will carry the annual "Toast of the Nation" jazz concert tonight starting at 8.
The special features live and recorded jazz performances across the country. Highlights include Dee Dee Bridgewater's 1997 "Tribute to Ella" at 8 p.m., New Year's Eve From Kennedy Center at 10 p.m., Herbie Hancock at the Blue Note at 11:15 p.m., and ending with the Count Basie Orchestra at 3:30 a.m.
The Capitol Steps will look back at the year in politics with their annual "Year in Review" satire. It airs on WDUQ today at 2 and 7 p.m. and tomorrow at 9 a.m.
