TV Note: Cheers' alum in miner movie Wednesday, September 18, 2002 By Rob Owen, Post-Gazette TV Editor
John Ratzenberger, who played Cliff Clavin on "Cheers," has been cast as miner Thomas Foy in ABC's movie about the rescue of the nine miners. It begins filming Friday in Somerset.
"Great Race' program
PCNC will air "The Great Race: 26 Years and Running" 8 p.m. Friday. The half-hour show, hosted by news anchor David Johnson, will look back at the race's history, including a visit with 28 people who have run in every race. The program also will cover this year's Junior Great Race, held this past Saturday at Point State Park.
