The Internet has dozens of interesting GPS sites. Just enter "waypoint" or "GPS" and search to your heart's content. Some I have found are:

Find a Grave. www.findagrave.com/cemeteries/37.html. This fun site has been around for a long time, but it has recently added waypoints to various graves around the world.

Divers Forum. www.divernet.com. If you are interested in shipwrecks or diving coral reefs, or anything related to the sea, this site is for you. It offers GPS to many exciting locations.

Shopforacomputer. www.shopforacomputer.com/links/gps.html. Don't let the name fool you. This site has tons of links to companies, databases and other interesting things related to the GPS. They are listed under Top 100 Sites GPS.

GB Waypoints. www.itatwork.freeserve.co.uk/waypoints.htm. This site provides a list of waypoints for England, along with links to maps and more.

Waypoint Base. www.crash.de/wpb. This is a site out of Cologne, ,with a dirt bike on its homepage. On this site information is shared and folks are encouraged to add waypoints to the list.

The International GPS Global Positioning System Waypoint Registry TM. www.waypoint.org. The mission of this organization is to build a worldwide database and share information about travel adventures. You can search, add waypoints, join the bulletin board and more. There are links to sites, interesting FAQs and various manufacturers. Some categories of waypoints are: Waypoints by Category (weird, underwater, famous graves), Waypoints by Area (around the world), Special Lists (from African Mines to Zion National Park).

Garmin. This GPS manufacturer has a number of interesting suggestions on its homepage, www.garmin.com/aboutGPS/links.html. It offers: Best Boating Resources on the Web, Aviation Links, Gearhead Cyberzine for mountain bikers, the Great Outdoor Recreation Page for recreation information in state and national parks and many maps.

U.S. Geological Survey. www.usgs.gov. Enough information to keep you entertained for weeks on this site. A click on Digital Backyard will get you lessons about geology, various maps and more. If you find the Digital Orthophoto Quadrangle, the DOQ, a click will take you to a black-and-white aerial photograph of the area you request.
