Centre County court administrators announced Monday that they will hold a "lottery" to decide who can attend Jerry Sandusky's court appearance next week.

The former Penn State defensive coordinator, who has been charged with sexually abusing eight boys over a period of several years, is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in Centre County Common Pleas Court at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 13.

Court administrators posted a statement on their website saying they will hold a "random drawing" to assign seats for the hearing.

People who want to attend the hearing can submit applications at between noon Wednesday and noon Thursday. Only people who have assigned seats will be allowed to attend.
