West Virginia NFL draft prospects

Will Clarke

Position: Defensive line

Draft projection: Third or fourth round

Skinny: Clarke, who played at Allderdice High School, is a rangy lineman who can frustrate offensive linemen because of his length and strength. A three-year starter, Clarke (6-6, 271) impressed with his ability to make plays for the Mountaineers. He was second in the Big 12 Conference in 2013 in tackles for a loss with 17, including six sacks. Runs well for his size; was timed at 4.77 in the 40-yard dash at the NFL combine.

Pat Eger

Position: Center

Draft projection: Free agent

Skinny: This Thomas Jefferson High School graduate started for parts of three seasons for the Mountaineers. Nfldraftscout.com ranks him as the No. 21 center available. Versatility should help him land in a training camp. Started 18 games at right tackle as a sophomore and junior and one at right guard before moving to center for his senior season.

Charles Sims

Position: Running back

Draft projection: Fourth or fifth round

Skinny: Sims played one season for the Mountaineers after transferring from Houston. A versatile back that can help in the passing game, Sims rushed for 1,095 yards and caught 45 passes for 401 yards. He was named the Big 12 Newcomer of the Year and ranked second in the conference in all-purpose yards. Durability is a concern because of his stature (6-0, 214), but he projects as a reserve who can play on third downs and spell a starter.

Curtis Feight

Position: Offensive tackle

Draft projection: Free agent

Skinny: Late bloomer who did not become a full-time starter until his senior season. Started the final six games of the 2012 season. Grew up in Germany and did not come to the United States until his junior year in high school. Played in high school at Mercersburg Academy, Pa.

Darwin Cook

Position: Safety

Draft projection: Free agent

Skinny: Three-year starter who showed some playmaking ability for the Mountaineers. He had four interceptions and a sack as a senior. Nfldraftscout.com ranks him as the No. 12 strong safety.

Shaq Rowell

Position: Defensive line

Draft projection: Free agent

Skinny: Two-year starter at nose tackle after beginning his career at Iowa Western Community College. Rowell had 47 tackles and four tackles for a loss as a senior.
