Steelers president Art Rooney II weighed in Tuesday on the worst four-game start in nearly a half-century for the franchise. The previous time the Steelers lost their first four games (1968) Rooney was in high school.
After a request to interview him about the 0-4 Steelers, Rooney issued a statement to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
"In a football season you can't worry about your last game, or your last four games," Rooney said in the statement. "The team has to focus on the next opponent and do what is necessary to improve each week of the season. If we continue to work hard and play with intensity, good things will come."
