Heavy rain and a lengthy detour around Squirrel Hill Tunnel construction are making for frustrating rides, but that isn't stopping fans from making their way out to Saint Vincent College today for the opening of Steelers camp.

Restaurant signs along the way welcomed Steeler fans back to Latrobe for the annual event, which is entering its 48th year at Saint Vincent.

The first official practice of camp begins at 2:55 p.m. and will run for approximately two hours.

Weather reports say the rain will subside shortly but may pick up again around 5 p.m. Lightning in the area is the only thing that is certain to postpone or cancel practice, though Steelers coaches could decide to take players off the field at any time if conditions raise concern of injuries.
