Question: Who determines who is the home team in the super bowl?. I would think who ever had the best record and are the Steelers wearing their black jerseys?

Jerry Spicer, Richwood, Ohio

BOUCHETTE: The designation of home team for the Super Bowl alternates between the NFC and AFC. This year is the NFC's turn, so the Cardinals chose their red jerseys, leaving the Steelers no choice but to wear their white. In Super Bowl XL, the Steelers were the home team and they chose to wear white because they won their previous three playoff games on the road in white. The crowd in Detroit looked like a home crowd to them, and I think you'll find it true again in Tampa.
