The commitment spree continued for Penn State today as the team nabbed three-star linebacker Brailyn Franklin.
The Haymarket, Va., native and Battlefield High School product chose the Nittany Lions over Syracuse, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Temple.
"Today, I am blessed to say that I am committed 100 percent," Franklin wrote on Twitter. "And my parents are passing the torch to coach [James] Franklin along with coach [Brent] Pry to Penn State University."
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Franklin is the fifth commitment since July 20 and 13th overall for the class of 2017. Before July 20, however, Penn State had not received a commitment dating back to April 25, when Georgia cornerback D.J. Brown stated his intent to play for the Nittany Lions.
