Yankees to make 1st visit to Pittsburgh since '60 Series

The New York Yankees will make their first visit to Pittsburgh since losing Game 7 to the Pirates in the 1960 World Series, playing a three-game set on June 24-26, it was announced as the Pirates unveiled their 2008 schedule.

The Pirates will open their season on the road on March 31 in Atlanta. It will be the first of six games on the road to start the season, winding up in Miami against the Florida Marlins. The Pirates' home opener will be on Monday, April 7, against the Chicago Cubs at 1:35 p.m. The Pirates also will face the Cincinnati Reds as part of their opening six-game homestand.

The Pirates also will welcome the American League's Toronto Blue Jays to PNC Park for the first time. The Jays will play here June 20-22. The final weekend of interleague play finds the Tampa Bay Devil Rays visiting Pittsburgh June 27-29.
