The Penguins have re-signed rugged forward Bobby Farnham to a one-year, two-way contract worth $550,000 at the NHL level.

Farnham, 25, was a restricted free agent, With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League last season, he had seven goals, seven assists and 166 penalty minutes in 64 games.

That leaves the team with three restricted free agents -- forwards Brandon Sutter and Nick Spaling, and defenseman Simon Despres. Spaling has an arbitration hearing scheduled for July 31 but could come to terms before that.
