PIHL: Latrobe tops Parkland, 4-1

Latrobe controlled the Class AA Pennsylvania state championship from start to finish, topping Parkland, 4-1.

The Wildcats overcame goalie Robert Stock, who turned aside Latrobe's first 23 shots, allowing Parkland to take a short-lived lead.

After Parkland scored on its fourth shot of the game to take a 1-0 lead 6:34 into the second, Christopher Johnson tied the game only 2:20 later.

Dalton Hunter scored his first of two goals to take the lead late in the second period following a loose-puck scrum in the crease.

Adam Ferguson also scored for Latrobe, which outshot Parkland, 41-8.
