Neshannock scored five runs in the first inning of its WPIAL Class A quarterfinal game Tuesday against Vincentian.

That was more than enough for pitcher Madison Shaffer, who was perfect.

Shaffer tossed a perfect game, striking out 10 hitters, as the defending WPIAL champion Lancers (14-2), the No. 1 seed, beat the No. 8 Royals (11-4), 7-0, at South Side Beaver.

Offensively, Neshannock got two hits and two RBIs apiece from Kaela Zingaro and Madison Altmyer.
