Jeff Hart

Eagles 0

Birdies 7

Bogeys 2

Double bogeys 0

Out: 31 • In: 34

Second-round total: 65 • -7

Highlight Hole: No. 16, par 4, 422 yards. After bogeying No. 15, Hart capped off his round with a birdie on No. 16 and pars on the final two holes to grab the title as "the leader in the clubhouse." Only 15 players completed the second round before play was suspended.

He said it: "I've been able to just let it go, not worry about the results. I think, you know, trying to make that putt, trying overly hard to make that shot to putt just doesn't work for me."

Today: To be determined.

Fred Couples

Eagles 0

Birdies 6

Bogeys 2

Double bogeys 0

Out: 34 • In: 32

First-round total: 66 • -4

Highlight hole: Couples negated two early birdies with two bogeys later in his front nine, but his biggest hole was No. 18, where he made a birdie on a par 5 to nudge himself into a tie for second place.

He said it: "I think because you got to play lift, clean and place, the bigger challenge was getting it on the fairway. When you did that, the holes played easier because you clean your ball up and basically put it on a tee."

Today: Tees off at 10:40 a.m. on No. 10.

Fred Funk

Eagles 0

Birdies 5

Bogeys 1

Double bogeys 0

Out: 32 • In: 34

First-round total: 66 • -4

Highlight hole: Funk got to No. 8 and figured he would try for par, not even thinking about birdie. But after a 210-yard uphill shot that landed 12 feet from the hole, Funk rolled in a birdie putt on a hole he thought was going to give him trouble.

He said it: "I've been getting so much treatment on [my back] the last few weeks that I feel like a piece of meat that's been tenderized."

Today: Tees off at 10:20 a.m. on No. 10.
