Pitt running back James Conner and offensive lineman Matt Rotheram picked up ACC weekly awards Tuesday after Pitt's dominating 62-0 victory against Delaware in the season opener Saturday.
Conner, a sophomore, was named the conference's Offensive Back of the Week after rushing for 153 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries. All of Conner's action came in the first half as the Panthers put the game away early.
Rotheram, a redshirt senior, earned ACC Offensive Lineman of the Week honors. He helped pave the way for Pitt's 409 team rushing yards, the most by a Panther squad since the 1976 team put up 444 against Army.
Pitt returns to action Friday night at 7 p.m. against Boston College in its first ACC game of 2014.
