Four-star receiver commits to Pitt

Pitt secured its 22nd verbal commitment of the 2014 class late Sunday night in Sicklerville, N.J., receiver Adonis Jennings.

Playing in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl on Fox Sports 1, Jennings chose the Panthers over Arkansas and Iowa in the third quarter in front of a national TV audience.

"I think I fit well in that offense," Jennings told Fox Sports 1 immediately after his announcement. "I'm going to come in ready to compete and that's all it comes down to."

Jennings is rated as a four-star receiver by, an had more than a dozen other scholarship offers. He was originally committed to Rutgers, but decommitted in early November.

He is the just the second receiver set to sign with the Panthers in February, along with North Allegheny's Elijah Zeise.
