Baldwin knocked Bethel Park from the list of unbeatens Monday night, and a ninth-grader led the way.

Freshman Lauren Gilbert scored a game-high 18 points, hitting three 3-pointers, to lead the host Highlanders (8-5, 3-4) to their 45-34 victory against the Class AAAA No. 3 Black Hawks (10-1, 4-1) in Section 4.

Baldwin led, 18-17, at halftime, but outscored Bethel Park by 10 in the second half, including 14-7 in the fourth quarter.

Nicole Corcoran added 13 points for Baldwin, which beat Bethel Park at home for the third season in a row.

Harper Zimmer led the Black Hawks with 10 points.

Other top girls games

■ Class AAAA No. 1 Mt. Lebanon (9-3, 5-0) remained unbeaten against WPIAL opponents this season with a 62-49 road win against No. 4 Upper St. Clair (9-3, 4-2) in Section 4. Margie McCaffrey led the Blue Devils with 18 points.

■ In a battle of Class AAA powers, No. 2 Elizabeth Forward (10-1, 5-0) outscored No. 3 Belle Vernon (9-3, 4-2) by 17 points in the second half of a 64-51 victory for the visiting Warriors in Section 4. Elizabeth Forward's Abigail Sporio scored a game-high 20 points.

■ Hopewell (10-2, 5-1) forced 28 turnovers and got 13 points from Chelsea Sundy in a 46-22 home win against Class AAA No. 5 Central Valley (10-3, 5-1). The Warriors got 19 points from Seairra Barrett.

■ Madison McHale scored 18 points, including the winning free throw with seven seconds left, as Class AA No. 5 Neshannock (14-0, 6-0) remained unbeaten with a 53-52 victory against host Laurel (7-5, 3-2) in Section 2.

■ Brenna Wise had 20 points, 15 rebounds and 3 blocks as Class A No. 1 Vincentian (10-2, 5-0) notched a 63-52 home win against No. 4 Cardinal Wuerl North Catholic (8-4, 4-1) in Section 2.

■ Halie Torris scored 14 of her 24 points in the second half to lead South Park (9-4) to a 43-40 victory against visiting Oakland Catholic (2-11) in a non-section game.

Stars of the night

■ Chardonnay Littlejohn had 24 of her 32 points in the second half to help City League No. 3 Carrick (3-5, 1-1) post a 60-49 road win against No. 1 Westinghouse (4-4, 1-1). Littlejohn hit four 3-pointers

■ Lexi Posset scored 31 of her team's 40 points as visiting Beaver (10-2) rolled to a 40-20 victory against Beaver Falls (1-11) in a non-section game.
