COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Winger Miroslav Satan almost certainly will participate in the playoffs this spring.
The question is, in which league?
Satan, who was assigned to the Penguins' American Hockey League affiliate in Wilkes-Barre last week, is scheduled to participate in a practice with the Baby Penguins for the first time today.
Penguins General Manager Ray Shero said this morning that Satan will be placed on Wilkes-Barre's 22-man Clear Day playoff roster, but he also could rejoin the Penguins for the NHL playoffs if they qualify.
Shero said he has given Satan no guarantees that he will be brought back, however.
Satan was assigned to Wilkes-Barre last week to open the salary-cap space needed to accommodate the $4.5 million contract of winger Bill Guerin, who was acquired from the New York Islanders a week ago.
