Showing off their own celebrity styles and smiles were the nearly 900 guests who walked the red carpet for the Pittsburgh Film Office's annual Oscar gala benefit, Highmark Presents Lights! Glamour! Action! Sunday night.
As the cars pulled up to Stage AE on the North Shore, a line of greeters cheered and applauded as photographers snapped away. Some guests were also doing live interviews that were streamed onto the big screen inside. PFO director Dawn Keezer, who is based in Los Angeles, made the evening a family affair by bringing her husband, Cody Cluff, and their baby son Carter (in a tiny black tux). Dr. Ken and Tracy Melani were this year's honorary chairs while Tara Reiland chaired the host committee.
Busy catching up, getting drinks or browsing the auction items were board chair Russ Streiner with his son Justin, Melissa Hart, PFO assistant director Jessica Conner, Paul Costa, Susie Katz, Judith Thomas, WTAE's Sally Wiggin, Victoria Berdnik with Joseph Lappa, Harris Ferris, Warhol Museum director Eric Shiner with Cherry Baum, and Toni Chiappini with Steve Mendelson who was sporting sunglasses, a gray beard and looked a little like Jeff Bridges.
