The Urban League of Pittsburgh welcomed more than 420 supporters to the Westin Convention Center Friday night for the 14th annual Ronald H. Brown Leadership Awards Dinner. EQT CEO Murry Gerber acted as honorary chair, mingling and browsing the ample silent auction tables. Justice Cynthia Baldwin and Lara Washington chaired the event, which honored Elsie Hillman with the Lifetime Achievement Award. She was joined by the other honorees, Dr. Marcia Sturdivant, and Hill House Association, represented by Evan Frazier, in the dining room for the program, dinner and dancing. Urban League president Esther Bush was thrilled the benefit had exceeded its goal of raising $279,000 and was over $300,000 at last count.
