A former teacher and girls basketball coach at a West Virginia high school who admitted she sold heroin with her boyfriend from Greene County has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison.
A federal judge imposed that term Wednesday on Amanda Allison, 27, of Cameron, W.Va., the former junior varsity coach at Cameron High School in Marshall County, where she had once been a star player.
In August, she pleaded to conspiring with Tyler Hoyle, 22, of Waynesburg, to sell heroin in her hometown, which has a population of less than 1,000 people.
Police said the pair sold heroin in and around Cameron from January through April 6 of this year.
Mr. Hoyle is serving 70 months in prison.region
