Saturday's results

NASHVILLE (51-28) won at Tacoma, 6-4. Starter Paul Ah Yat allowed five hits, four walks and four runs in 51/3 innings. Shortstop John Wehner had two hits, including his fifth home run, and three RBIs. Designated hitter Darryl Brinkley had two hits and two RBIs.

ALTOONA (42-40) lost at Erie, 11-2. Starter Jim Baron (7-3) allowed seven hits, two walks and seven runs in three innings. Designated hitter Garrett Long hit his 13th home run, and left fielder Adam Hyzdu hit his 10th. First baseman Mike Robertson had two hits.

LYNCHBURG (41-37) lost at Kinston, 3-1. Starter Carlos Alvarado (4-4) allowed five hits, a walk and two runs and struck out eight in 61/3 innings. First baseman Derrick Lankford singled in the Hillcats' run in the ninth.

HICKORY (42-38) beat Charleston, 6-0. Starter Franklin Bravo (5-1) allowed one hit and two walks in seven innings. First baseman Carlos Rivera hit a two-run home run, his ninth. Left fielder Keith Maxwell had two hits and two RBIs.

WILLIAMSPORT (12-5) beat St. Catharines, 9-6. Starter Drew Vinton allowed seven hits, three walks and four runs in four innings. Felix Montilla got his fourth save. Designated hitter Antonio Alvarez had two hits, including his second home run, and three RBIs. Right fielder James Langston had two hits and three RBIs.

BRADENTON (7-7) beat the Rangers, 5-3. Starter David Bennett allowed eight hits and two earned runs in six innings. Left fielder Ramonzo Douglas had a double and two RBIs. Shortstop Jose Castillo had two hits.
