“Frisbees bring all the dogs to the yard,” promises the people at Rachael Ray Nutrish, sponsors of Frisbee Dogs at the Three Rivers Regatta.
Dogs will be catching discs next weekend at Point State Park, Downtown, as part of the many free activities at the regatta.
Look for Frisbee Dogs at these days and times: 12:30, 4 and 6 p.m. Friday; 12:30, 2:30 and 4 p.m. next Saturday; and 1, 2:30 and 4 p.m. Aug. 6.
Samples of the food and treats made by the Western Pennsylvania-based Ainsworth Pet Nutrition will be handed out at the Frisbee event. Nutrish will also have a dog-friendly photo booth and family friendly yard games.
Pup Night at Bado’s
The dogs are invited back for Pup Pints & Pizza at Bado’s Pizza Grill & Ale House, 307 Beverly Road, Mt. Lebanon (15216) on Thursday.
Grist House Brewery in Millvale will bring samples, and its brews will be the specials of the night. Dogs and people should enter at the rear of the building and walk up the wooden steps to the covered second-floor deck.
More than 40 dogs and 100 people showed up at the last pup night earlier this summer.
The Butler Cat Fanciers are holding their annual Cat Fanciers’ Association show next Saturday at the Ross Township Community Center, 100 Ross Municipal Drive, 15237. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
A cat fashion show will be part of the event, and vendors will be selling cat items. Purebred cats will compete in most of the judging, but there’s also a household pets division.
Proceeds benefit the Tigger Neuter and Spay Fund. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for senior citizens and children under 12 years old. Admission is free for children under 3.
