If you try to follow the flip-flopping and hypocrisy coming from Tom Wolf on the transportation bill, your head is likely to spin. Only a day after candidate Wolf stated, “I applaud the Legislature and the governor for actually coming through, coming up with a transportation plan that actually allows us to fix our bridges and actually move our transportation infrastructure forward” (“Erie Business and Manufacturers’ Association Luncheon with Tom Wolf,” Aug. 11), Mr. Wolf released an attack ad criticizing Gov. Tom Corbett for the passage of the transportation bill.
As such, it seems reasonable to expect Mr. Wolf to release a statement in the coming days criticizing his running mate, Sen. Mike Stack, and the numerous other Democratic legislators who supported the bipartisan bill. I am not holding my breath, however.
With this latest batch of flip-flopping and hypocrisy from the Wolf camp, I suspect Tom Wolf’s position on the transportation bill is the same as his plan to reform Pennsylvania’s pension system and his proposals for the commonwealth’s budget: He does not have one.
