Luke Bryan was trashed in Pittsburgh by his fans

Country singer Luke Bryan performed here recently, and I am happy to say that I had never heard of him until the day of the concert. Anyway, his legacy seems to be piles of trash — consisting mostly of empty beer cans and liquor bottles from fan tailgate parties.

And that reminds me of a 1979 Who concert in Cincinnati, where 11 people were trampled and died of asphyxiation. At the time, one commentator wrote that the band should not be held directly responsible for the tragedy. But he did wonder about the kind of material they produced which would attract people who were capable of that kind of behavior.

And following that line of reasoning, it seems safe to say that Luke Bryan and his music were thoroughly trashed here by, none other than, his own fans.
