I must reply to these two July 1 letters to the editor: “Keep Buffer Zones at Health Clinics” and “Necessary Buffers Needed Around Pennsylvania Health Clinics.”
As one who has participated in a number of peaceful protests outside abortion clinics, I have borne witness once too often how those entering the facilities exaggerate their treatment by those who wish to offer the truth (something Planned Parenthood and the like refuse to do) to those wishing to terminate their pregnancies. In fact, when I walked and prayed outside these clinics (right outside the front doors, might I add) never at any time did I witness such events as these letter writers profess occurring. If anything, it is the pro-death movement that makes a mockery of the event and causes disruption.
Let’s face it, women are not entering these clinics to have an ingrown toenail removed; they are having their unborn child terminated in the most horrific and brutal manner. This is not health care!
Of course the clinics’ doctors want buffer zones in place because the slaughter of the innocents is how they make their money. How they can sleep at night perplexes me. I know my attackers draw near, and so be it … at least I will have a clear conscience when I stand before my creator.
