Congress just doesn’t care about ‘the little people’

I would like to take this opportunity to express how disappointed I am with Congress. A few years ago when the United States was in a recession we bailed out the car companies and the banks, the millionaires and billionaires. Now the little people have been waiting for the five-month extension on unemployment compensation, and it is still in limbo.

I feel Congress is showing prejudice and is discriminating against the little people. This is not a “I scratch your back, you scratch mine” game. This is serious. People can’t feed their families or pay their mortgages, unlike the millionaires and billionaires.

This bill has been in limbo too long and needs to be passed. I am one of those people who through no fault of my own lost my job a year ago after 14 years.
