A postal thank you

As a member of the “golden-agers” in Pittsburgh, I want to thank the mail carriers for their service during this past unusually harsh and demanding winter. I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to carry those heavy loads and walk all the miles they must walk during all kinds of weather.

Our carrier, Dan, has been a bright spot in my days — always reliable, kind and helpful with a smile for me.

I realize our postal service leaves a lot to be desired these days, but in our neighborhood, we are the lucky ones.
