The works of August Wilson make up an incredibly rich part of Pittsburgh’s cultural heritage, and the August Wilson Center should be Pittsburgh’s pride and joy. I’ve always taken city visitors to see the art exhibits, permanent installments and performances there. I think it’s important for our schools to make the center part of their annual field trips.

Certainly in this City of Champions we can find a way to make our center flourish. It’s time for our governing, cultural and fiscal leaders to work out a plan.
