Fouled W.Va. water

I don’t think deregulation works. A chemical company named, believe it or not, Freedom Industries, in West Virginia had a chemical storage tank at an unregulated facility that leaked into the Elk River a couple of weeks ago.

Now Freedom Industries has reported there were actually two chemicals in that leaky tank. It refused to release detailed information about the second chemical because it’s a trade secret.

The West Virginia governor told area residents he didn’t know if their drinking water was safe or not.
