It is stunning that the Pittsburgh Public Schools were closed on Wednesday. In many parts of the country, this sort of closure would be interpreted as “Schools are closed from December to February.”
If the reason was that the buses could not run, I would suggest that we find more competent bus companies. Buses run safely throughout many parts of the country in weather far more severe than Wednesday’s. Their job is to safely and competently run buses: If they cannot do it, we should find companies that take their role more seriously.
