Festival a delight

Let me be the first or the five-millionth to shout out an appreciative thank you to Dollar Bank for its generous contribution making the Three Rivers Film Festival possible again this year. It was such a joy to be part of the opening night gala.

Words cannot express the pleasure of meeting Polish film director Bodo Kox and discussing his genius through his feature film debut, "The Girl From the Wardrobe."

Not only was it a beautiful film, but to casually bump into Mr. Kox at the after-party at the Melwood Screening Room was a moment I will never forget. We were able to talk one-on-one about his next film ideas and what the film industry is like in Poland. Opportunities like that should never be taken lightly. I feel honored to have been part of the evening.

So, again I would like to thank Joe Smith of Dollar Bank and Pittsburgh Filmmakers for kicking off another eventful festival.
