On behalf of our 7,700 employees in Pittsburgh, I am writing to urge our elected leaders within the commonwealth to continue working together to pass a comprehensive and sustainable transportation funding package that will include adequate funding for transit. BNY Mellon is one of the largest employers in Downtown Pittsburgh, and about 50 percent of BNY Mellon's employees rely on public transit.

We look at the issue of transportation funding as an issue of 21st-century competitiveness.

This issue is important to our organization, as well as the business community in the Pittsburgh region and across the state. We believe a good transportation bill will improve commerce and mobility, relieve congestion, lower commuting costs and reduce pollution.

With sustainable funding for transit, we believe Pennsylvania is even more dynamic and competitive for all of its citizens.

VINCENT V. SANDS
Chairman
BNY Mellon of Pennsylvania
