Enforce traffic laws in school zones

This is in response to the letter about drivers and school buses ("Drivers Are Foul in Ignoring Guards and School Bus Laws," Oct. 29): I'm a crossing guard and am completely in accord with this letter writer. Drivers are given a license in this state as a privilege, not a right. I believe this privilege is being abused.

The traffic divisions of police departments are not enforcing school zone infractions.

These children are the future; let's keep them around by obeying the road laws and being mentors. We, as drivers, carry a big responsibility to do the right thing. Drive as if you know what you're doing and obey the driving laws.
