A great council rep

Congratulations to city Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith, and her office, for standing up for our communities on the recent school board issues of school closings. Whoever knows Ms. Kail-Smith must realize that her office represents all the people in our district. If more so-called leaders would have her views, we would have fewer problems.

After reading the Post-Gazette's Oct. 17 editorial "Butt Out, Council: Leave City School Decisions to the School Board" it was clear to me that neither the Post-Gazette nor Pittsburgh's school board nor Bill Gates' grant money would stop Ms. Kail-Smith from getting justice for our communities.
