Their poor example

I believe that the actions of our leaders have a profound effect on the rest of us. The leaders set the example and we, knowingly or unknowingly, follow their example. The Affordable Care Act is the law of the land -- passed fair and square and even upheld by the Supreme Court. Now, our leaders in the House of Representatives don't like that law and they have voted 42 times to repeal it, knowing that the repeal would not pass in the Senate or be signed by the president. That is according to the current rules in place concerning laws.

Those same leaders now have shut down our government because, again, they don't like that law. Well, now, what law don't you or I like? I see no reason why we cannot act the same way. Don't like taxes? Find a way not to pay them. Choose your law, whatever one you disagree with, and disregard it. The new American way!

I can't wait to see the effects of all the nonsense coming out of the House of Representatives. Buckle up (if you want to) -- we are in for one heck of a ride.
