Harry Truman started talking about universal health care in 1945. The Republicans in Congress have had plenty of time to enact the "the perfect health plan." Obamacare may not be perfect, but it is a start in providing health care for all.

Denying health care to adults and children with pre-existing diseases punished those who were in the most need of health care. I know, I know, it's the cost. No cost seems to be spared in engaging in wars.
