First-rate care

From my first moments as a new graduate nurse, I knew I wanted to work at UPMC Presbyterian. My 34-year career and experiences in this world-class institution have been extraordinary. I have witnessed changes in medical care and nursing technology here that I doubt would have been possible in any other institution.

I have had the opportunity to work alongside world-class physicians and surgeons. When patients thank me for the care we have provided, I am proud to tell them "that is what we do."

I know how comfortable I was when my own acutely ill family member was transferred to a UPMC facility, because I knew he would receive the best care possible. I know how confident I was in taking my husband to a UPMC Urgent Care Center for an evaluation. I know that I want my family members to continue to seek care from this world-class institution.

As an employee, I have had the opportunity to see firsthand who really makes UPMC great and I remain proud to be an employee.
