No joy in exhibit

Regarding the devastating tragedy of little Maddox Derkosh at the zoo, I would first like to express to his parents and entire family how deeply the entire area is grieving for your loss.

My main reason for this letter, however, is to make a suggestion to the management at the zoo. I believe the African painted dogs should be placed with another zoo. Many people have enjoyed seeing them until now, but I can't imagine anyone in this area getting pleasure from this exhibit after this horrific accident.

Time does not heal all wounds, and there will always be sadness connected to these animals if they remain here. Please let them go.
